A unique institution celebrating more than 100 years of research and teaching excellence, SOAS is a School dedicated to the study of the human condition with a special focus on Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It is dedicated to a study of the planetary questions of our historical moment, but it tries to understand these from the perspective of the Global South. SOAS came to Nurole seeking four Trustees across a range of different skills areas including global networks and commercial experience. In line with SOAS’s mission and values there was a focus on increasing the diversity of perspective on the Board. Nurole conducted a thorough cross-sectoral and cross-functional search which resulted in the successful appointments of Thomas Yoritaka, Cedric Ntumba, Rehana Ameer and Steve Pfeiffer.
