Oliver is Nurole's CEO and host of the Enter the Boardoom podcast, an Apple Top 100 Business podcast uncovering what it really takes to thrive in the boardroom.

Susie Cummings founded Nurole in 2014. Having worked as a traditional headhunter for 30 years, Susie set up Nurole to change the way organisations access and attract the strongest people to be chairs, non-executives and trustees for their boards.

Richard Craske joined Nurole in 2019 to start the education practice and has now successfully helped to place nearly 1000 Chairs and NEDs onto the boards of universities, independent schools and educational charities. Before this he was a Consultant at a leading education-specialist search firm. Richard has an MA in Philosophy from the University of St Andrews and is also a qualified English teacher having completed the Teach First scheme after graduating.  

Tamara leads Nurole’s Financial Services team advising clients across the asset & wealth management, pensions,  banking, building society, specialty finance and fintech sectors. Before joining Nurole, Tamara worked at Blackwood Group, a boutique executive search firm, where she advised on executive and non-executive hires within the financial services sector.

Caroline brings extensive experience in non-executive board search and advisory. A former Director at Sapphire Partners, she delivered Chair and NED searches across a range of financial services firms and led the firmʼs Investment Trust practice. Previously, Caroline completed doctoral research on Talent Management through a Diversity lens at Cranfield School of Management. She was formerly an external expert at the European Commission in Brussels for 14 years. She is an accredited Hogan Leadership and Myers-Briggs psychometrics assessor.

Grace started her search career at Russell Reynolds Associates, before moving to JCA Group (now Heidrick and Struggles) and then latterly leading Nurole's search execution team. She has worked on board and C-suite assignments for leading Listed, Private, and Non-Profit boards.

Before joining Nurole, Ned worked in the Private Equity and M&A team at Marsh. At Nurole he works with a range of clients across Private Equity, Venture Capital and Listed companies, supporting them with Advisory, Non-Executive and Chair hiring.

Sam leads Nurole's work across the consumer, creative industries and not-for-profit sectors. Sam has over 30 years' of experience advising clients in traditional searches, spanning arts, media, retail, leisure and consumer. Most recently, she was Partner at Odgers Berndtson.

Niamh started her career in investment banking, working in corporate broking at Morgan Stanley, before becoming part of the founding team at Board Intelligence, building their Global Financial Services practice, and latterly building and leading their business in the US. She joined Nurole in 2025 to build Pop-Up boards.

Mark leads Nurole’s work in the Healthcare sector. Mark brings over a decade of search experience at firms such as GatenbySanderson and Odgers Berndtson where he focused on senior appointments across Healthcare, Not for Profit and Education. At Nurole, Mark works with private and public healthcare businesses to build more diverse Boards.

Carla leads on Nurole’s commercial searches, drawing on her prior experience at board-level recruitment firms (The Lygon Group and Odgers Berndtson). She has spent her career working on Chair, Non-Executive and Advisory board searches for public and private companies across a wide range of industries.

Diana founded Nurole’s Multi Academy Trust Practice which now supports over 50 trusts a year. She has a background in executive search and previously worked as a consultant at Perrett Laver, a leading executive search firm for the education sector.  She holds a BA in Classics from the University of Newcastle.

Edward leads our work in the public sector, and advises clients across central & local government and public bodies. Edward has 8+ years of government consulting experience, most recently as Head of Strategy & Business Development at PUBLIC Group.

Originating from Montreal, Canada, Brigitte heads the education sector on Nurole’s Client Success team. She has worked closely with - and successfully arranged some of our best placements for - a variety of leading universities and schools, multi-academy trusts, and educational charities.

Alex executes board recruitment processes across Financial Services, including investment company, banking, building society, asset management, specialty finance and FinTech sectors. Alex previously spent three years at Lygon Group, a boutique board-focused executive search firm, executing executive and non-executive searches across a variety of sectors. He started his career as an associate within the Board and CEO Services practice at Korn Ferry.

Joshua leads Nurole's work across Not-For-Profit and Government. He has overseen searches for a variety of high-profile clients, supporting some of the country's leading universities and largest charities in finding board members.

Georgina is a senior member of the Nurole Education Team. She has over 14 years of experience in Executive Search and has supported many of the world’s leading schools and education non-profits in senior appointments. Georgina holds a BA from the University of Nottingham and is a Governor of two schools: The Burgess Hill Academy, formerly part of the University of Brighton Academies Trust where she is a SEN and teaching & learning link governor as well as Ardingly College, an HMC through school in Sussex, where she sits on the Education and People & Culture Committees.

Originally from San Francisco, Madeline works to support Nurole’s commercial sector clients. Before joining Nurole, she worked at an Executive Search firm focusing on Commercial roles at high-growth, VC-backed software companies. She holds a MSc in International Migration and Public Policy from the LSE, concentrating in technology and political economy.

Connie leads on Chair, Chair of Committee and Trustee appointments across the not-for-profit sector. Before joining Nurole, Connie spent over a decade at Saxton Bampfylde, where she developed deep expertise in non-executive and board-level appointments. She supports a broad range of social impact organisations across social justice, arts and culture, education, health and social care, and membership bodies, and works extensively with organisations to appoint senior leaders from commercial and other sectors to not-for-profit boards.

Tom is Sector Lead in Financial Services, with a focus on Non Executive hires across the Investment Management and Insurance sectors. Tom has 20 years traditional executive search experience within Financial Services. Prior to joining Nurole, Tom worked at Drayton Finch, a boutique search firm focussed on placing investment professionals.

Before joining Nurole, Laura spent three and a half years at Saxton Bampfylde, working on senior executive and non-executive appointments in the Social Impact sector. Prior to that, Laura spent seven years at a specialist firm, working across sectors to appoint corporate affairs leaders. Laura takes pride in finding exceptional talent to join the Boards of non-profit organisations, and leads on Chair and Trustee appointments in the not-for-profit sector at Nurole.

Caroline is a senior member of our client success team for education. Before joining Nurole, Caroline led executive search at Academicis, where she focused on recruiting senior leaders for multi-academy trusts. With nearly 20 years of experience in senior leadership search within the education sector, she has honed her expertise in identifying top talent. Previously, she managed recruitment for senior leadership roles at TES, gaining a deep understanding of the education sector’s leadership needs. Caroline is passionate about diversity, inclusivity, and fostering strategic leadership.

Before joining Nurole, Sarah worked as a PA at a Wealth Management firm. Sarah works in the Customer Success Team, coordinating interviews and assisting candidates and clients with the application process.

Tanya is part of the Financial Services Practice at Nurole focusing on non-executive appointments for both main board and subsidiaries/regulated entities across the UK and Continental Europe, continuing to build an extensive track record across commercial and investment banking, insurance, and asset management. Tanya joined Nurole from Spencer Stuart where she was part of the Board Practice. Previously, she spent 12 years at Odgers Berndtson focusing on board appointments in financial services. A strong advocate for diversity on boards, Tanya has long been an active sponsor to women from a broad range of backgrounds at the start of their portfolio career.

Emilia leads on Nurole's work throughout the not-for-profit and social impact sectors. Throughout her career in search, Emilia has handled both domestic and international leadership appointments with organisations including charities, foundations, federations, not-for-profit companies, PPPs, and multilateral organisations.

Vasile is part of Nurole’s Client Success Team, supporting education clients. He joined Nurole from a boutique executive search firm, where he handled senior appointments across the higher education sector. Vasile holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience from UCL.

Fiona, CEO of WB Directors, is an accomplished Non-Executive Director and Advisor across several organisations. Currently, she serves as an advisor to Peel Hunt (a mid-cap stockbroker) and is a member of the advisory board for the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership at King’s College London. Fiona is a recognised expert in Governance, Regulation, and Talent Management. Previously, she was a director at Hill Samuel Asset Management, where she led the Global Emerging Markets Equity Investment Team.

Lisa works with major corporates, delivering high-impact sessions and events to accelerate board-level readiness of their senior talent. She has recently been appointed as the Chair of Missing People. Formerly, she served as a trustee of The Feel Good Bakery CIC and, until recently, was Chair of the charity Regenerate. Lisa is also an active angel investor.

Jodi oversees the planning and logistics for all of our Corporate events, as well as working closely with our clients to help develop successful long-term relationships with our Board & Leadership Development Partners.

Maria is a programmes and partnerships Director, with a deep specialism in advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and driving inclusive cultural change. Maria was responsible for the development of POWERful Women, a gender diversity initiative for the UK energy sector. She worked with the top UK company CEOs and EDI Leads to monitor the sector, increase executive and non-executive gender diversity and create more inclusive workplaces. She also created a highly effective C-Suite mentoring programme.

Malcolm’s background is in UK food retailing, where he worked for 10 years before leaving to take up a role as an international leadership consultant that has spanned twenty-five years. Working across multiple sectors and diverse organisations, Malcolm specialises in executive coaching, team and Board facilitation and the design and delivery of leadership programmes.

Madeleine leads Enter the Boardroom Community for Nurole. She makes it her mission to ensure we offer the very best service so that members can achieve their board ambitions, no matter what stage they are at. Prior to Nurole, she worked in a number of major media organisations and another NED network. She is also on the board of several not-for-profit organisations.

Gail is a purpose-led business leader with a background across SME and non-profit organisations. She is a CIM-qualified marketeer and communications specialist. Gail has over a decade of experience as a charity trustee. She currently chairs PLUS Services Lewisham, a £8m t/o social care provider.

Rachel was a founding director of Women on Boards UK. She brings many years of experience in non-executive board recruitment – both advising recruiting boards on their requirements and approach, and supporting our members at all stages of their boardroom journey. She has deep insight into the non-executive landscape, which includes the public sector, as she sits as an Independent Panel Member for the Ministry of Justice.

Will Felton is Content Lead at Nurole and producer of the Enter the Boardroom podcast, working across content, community and editorial strategy for Nurole’s non-executive network. He leads podcast production and long-form content, and helps shape the themes, discussions and events that underpin the Enter the Boardroom Community. Will is the primary media and content contact for Enter the Boardroom.

Susan is the Events and Community Manager for the Enter the Boardroom community, responsible for delivering impactful events and fostering an engaged, connected membership. She is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where members can build meaningful relationships and learn from one another.

Yetty (Yetunde) is the Membership and Partnerships Manager for the Enter the Boardroom Community, working at the intersection of people and purpose. She focuses on building meaningful partnerships and curating impactful connections that support diverse leadership and board-level readiness.
