About

Formerly known as United in Hammersmith & Fulham, H&F Giving serves the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, which is home to around 182,000 people. It focuses on galvanising people into devoting the time, money, effort and brainpower needed to create strong communities for everyone. H&F Giving distributes grants to existing charities with a proven track record of making a tangible change in their local community as well as individuals and groups who develop new projects and initiatives that meet its funding criteria.

Its aims are to raise awareness about the great talents and assets that exist in the community, act as a facilitator and catalyst for new collaborative projects and build new networks and partnerships. It also aims to raise money to support local charitable projects and encourage local living and finally, to support and enable locally grown and locally developed projects that bring people together to build their capacity and resilience.

H&F Giving has distributed more than £400,000 in grants to local community groups since March 2020. Furthermore, it has spearheaded fundraising, encouraging the public to give more than £160,000 to fund urgent community need. This includes the Tech4Kids campaign to get 1,000 children in poverty their own laptops with connectivity, and the Big H&F Christmas Lunch delivery for hundreds of isolated senior citizens. Its creative project, Humans of Hammersmith & Fulham has also been touring community venues since the beginning of 2020, featuring portraits and interviews of local people, that help dismantle prejudice and exclusion while inspiring belonging, discussion and sharing in the borough.
