About

Fundamentals Ltd is a leader in power systems technology, and specialises in delivering cutting-edge solutions aimed at enhancing the reliability and efficiency of grid operations. With offices in the UK and Australia, the company has evolved from its roots as a pioneer in Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) products to become a leading comprehensive provider of grid optimisation solutions. Leveraging its extensive expertise in tapchangers and fault monitoring, it continuously innovates to address the evolving modern needs of grid management.

At the core of company operations lies a steadfast commitment to its founding principle: applying fundamental engineering principles to solve complex challenges. This ethos fuelled the business' inaugural innovation in the 1980s - the Transformer Automatic Paralleling Package (TAPP) - which revolutionised the operation of power transformers. This groundbreaking invention laid the foundation for the company's establishment in 1985 and the subsequent success of the SuperTAPP family of Automatic Voltage Controllers (AVCs).

Collaborating with a growing network of power technology experts and delivery partners spanning Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Gulf, Fundamentals contributes to the development of innovative grid solutions aligned with the goals of a net-zero future. With an established presence in the UK market, the company is now looking to grow substantially on a global scale and launch a new product in the next three years.

The Board is currently looking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director, who will inform commercial strategy and contribute towards a more sustainable and efficient future for power systems worldwide.
