About

Home to circa 1,000 pupils aged three to eighteen, Repton School is a world-class, modern, flourishing community with a clear sense of purpose and momentum. As a pre-eminent co-educational, boarding and day school in the heart of Derbyshire, Repton provides an exceptional broad-based education, blending heritage with the pursuit of excellence in a 21st-century context, offering world-class facilities as well as high-quality teaching and pastoral care.

The Repton Group has been a pioneer among British schools in developing a truly global brand with Repton Schools now located around the world. Repton first embarked on its international adventure in 2007, with the opening of Repton Dubai – a K-12 school in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai. Today, Repton Dubai is consistently rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Dubai schools regulator and is known as one of the most prestigious and successful schools in the UAE, boasting a strong academic pedigree and university destinations.

2013 saw a significant expansion in the UAE, with the opening of Foremarke Dubai (now renamed as Repton Al Barsha), as well as an Early Years and Key Stage One school in Abu Dhabi, now known as Abu Dhabi ‘Rose’ Campus. 2013 also saw the formal establishment of the Repton Family of Schools (RFS), drawing together an experienced and specialist team to oversee the further expansion of Repton into new countries. In 2016, the Abu Dhabi senior school, ‘Fry’ Campus was opened. Between them, Rose and Fry campuses currently educate over 1600 pupils.

In September 2020, the first Repton school in China was opened, in the beautiful coastal city of Xiamen and, at the same time, Repton International School (Malaysia) opened its doors in Johor Bahru. In September 2021, Repton Cairo opened in the Mivida community of New Cairo, to be followed by a second school, in western Cairo. Other schools are planned for Bulgaria and Qatar. The Repton Family of Schools also includes two UK-based preparatory schools - St Wystan's School in Repton and Vinehall School in East Sussex.

The partnership model at the heart of RFS is founded on the belief that the best partnerships are based on a mutual respect for each other’s strengths. Repton seeks to combine the local knowledge and financial strength of each of its partners with the state-of-the-art academic expertise and guidance provided by the Repton Family of Schools. Repton provides a licensing agreement to each of its partner schools, allowing the use of the Repton intellectual property and a service agreement which covers everything from new school design to governance and quality assurance.

In the years ahead, the Repton Family of Schools will grow with the addition of more schools in new and existing locations. The aim isn't for RFS to be the biggest, but rather the most sought-after, education group in the world.
