Nurole Events - How to deal with an underperforming board member?
16th November 2022, 5pm UK
Context
According to PwC’s 2021 Annual Corporate Directors Survey, almost half of directors (47%) say that at least one fellow board member should be replaced. Eighteen percent would like to see two or more board members replaced.
Are boards doing enough to ensure that each director in the boardroom is the right fit for the board? What should they do when someone isn’t the right fit? The goal of this session is to explore these questions further within a community of fellow board directors.
Target audience
Current board members who are interested in trading insights and perspectives with their peers on other boards.
Board members who want to network and build relationships with other board members on the Nurole platform.
We tailor our events to participants' experience levels and focus on specific topics so that all participants get maximum value. You should sign up for this event only if you currently sit on a board.
Format
This is a peer-to-peer discussion and networking session. The session will be held online on Zoom. We expect all participants to respect confidentiality and anonymity after the session. This allows participants to speak freely about sensitive issues and maximise learning.
The format will depend on the size of the audience. If necessary, we may use breakout rooms for smaller groups to discuss. Groups will rotate periodically so all participants can network with multiple peer board directors.
As this is a peer-to-peer conversation, last minute dropouts are detrimental to the group and quality of conversation. Please avoid this where possible and inform us as soon as you can. This helps us make adjustments for the benefit of the remaining attendees.
The session will be held on 16th November at 5pm UK.
