Doctorlink is a private investor-backed start-up that provides doctors' surgeries with clinically approved digital triage, supported by decision support algorithms. They required an independent director to support the CEO and executive team on the creation and execution of the product and technology strategy.In thirteen days, Nurole's platform identified Mariano Albera and Sathya Smith.

Mariano is one of five Chief Technology Officers at Expedia, who brings 10-years' experience as a B2C digital CTO in the travel industry. Mariano started his career as a developer and architect, and later led technology teams of up to 250 people at organisations ranging from small commerce companies like Opodo, to big brands such as Thomas Cook and global technology players like Expedia.

Sathya's background is in telecommunications and network engineering. She joined Google in 2003 where she held technical leadership roles on various products, including Google Maps, Android, Payments, Content and Commerce related products and YouTube culminating in a role as Head of Partner Solutions. During her nearly 12 years at Google, she learned first-hand how to successfully scale companies, products and users. Sathya was also CTO of onefinestay, where she helped reshape the technology and product team and supported the company through a successful acquisition by Accor Hotels.

They were seeking a Senior Advisor/Chairman for the new company who had domain expertise in clinical ophthalmology and/or oncology and experience in taking drugs through clinical trials. There is flexibility for the right person to take on an executive role as well.Through Nurole they appointed Gillies O’Bryan-Tear, who was Chief Medical Officer for five years at the Norwegian drug maker Algeta until 2014. Since then he has been advising two VC-backed biotech companies in North America, including gene therapy company Audentes, which recently listed on Nasdaq, the U.S. secondary market. He has been on the board of several small pharmaceuticals and worked as an independent consultant for companies in the UK, U.S. and on the Continent.
