St Paul’s Girls’ School is one of the country’s leading independent secondary day schools for girls aged 11-18 and is a lively academic community with excellent facilities for all subjects. St Paul’s Girls’ School sought two Governors to assist with the effective management of safeguarding and compliance in the school.

The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research. In recent years, Surrey has established itself as a top university in major national university league table rankings. They sought to appoint External Members (Trustees) to advise and facilitate the work of its governing body. Through Nurole they appointed Pam Powell and Elliot Antrobus-Holder.

Pam, former Vice President at Unilever Inc, is an experienced NED, Investor and Advisor to an app-based health tech start-up. After former roles as a Governor at RGS Guildford and Board Member and Deputy Committee Chair of Curriculum at Guildford College, she wanted to expand her pro-bono portfolio to engage and contribute locally. Elliot is the Vice President and Global Head of Digital, Data & Analytics at GSK and has previously led the digital, data and analytics teams for HSBC, Barclays and TU. This was Elliot's first board role.

Gresham College (est. 1597) an independently funded educational institution, sought to appoint a Chair who would work closely with the Academic Board, Senior Management and sponsors to ensure that it continues to provide free, university-level public lectures of the highest standard. The successful candidate needed to have Board-level experience, ideally be an expert in digital/technology and have Livery company experience.

In less than a month, Nurole surfaced Loyd Grossman. Best known for MasterChef and pasta sauces, Loyd is also known for his multiple philanthropic board roles. He brought a strong track record of supporting liveries through his involvement with the Worshipful Company of Arts Scholars as a Middle Warden, an Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers, and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters.

The Hackney New School Academy Trust (“HNS”) was founded in 2013 and comprises a primary and a secondary academy. Both schools within the trust have a music specialism - every pupil learns an instrument and the music curriculum is a central part of the school day. The primary school has established a partnership with the Royal Academy of Music in order to deliver the music curriculum.

The trust sought two individuals with experience of strategic leadership and governance at senior management level.
